Three months ago we started School of Social here in Amsterdam as a project that seeks to bring together social media professionals, thought leaders in the industry and anyone who is interested in learning more about social in a casual get-together where we exchange knowledge on social media marketing with actionable tips and tricks.
The first edition of the School of Social back in July focused on Hacking the Twitterverse. Four speakers from different backgrounds shared their ultimate tips for Twitter Marketing growth as well as their top secret tools and hacks. Get a glimpse on their presentations right below:
Having so much fun organizing this very first session of the School of Social and seeing that there’s big interest in the Amsterdam community for insights and knowledge sharing, the second edition is no brainer.
On October 15, we bring together three brilliant Social Media experts who will share their best tips and deepest social media marketing confessions, explaining how brands and individuals need to take into consideration all social networks and actions together, rather than in isolation.
Lucero Oyarzun: Lucero is Online Campaigner at Greenpeace Netherlands. Forests were her first love. But social media quickly became an addictive second, even if she’s still an incorrigible lurker.
As a “webbie” she’s involved with the strategy, development and implementation for digital work to support different campaigns at Greenpeace Nederland, including social media, email, website, mobile and more. Lucero’s NGO experience gives her a unique take on Social Media.
Matt Navarra: Matt is the Social Media Director for The Next Web. He has also worked as a digital lead for the UK Government in London. A self-confessed Twitter and Social Media geek, Matt brings bags of experience, tips, ideas and cautionary social media tales to share with others.
Laurens Griep: Laurens is in charge of social media advertising for all 7 brands of HEINEKEN Netherlands. And also oversees the community management team responsible for web-care for HEINEKEN’s brands in the Netherlands.
Laurens works alongside the numerous brand teams in creating and supporting social media experiences for HEINEKEN together with agencies. Lauren’s will bring a vaired perspective of how a giant global brand uses Social Media on a daily basis.
