We are looking for new talented, resourceful and creative creatures to join our team in Amsterdam Will you be the one to join? If your craft is Online Marketing, UX design or Quality Assurance, we want YOU! Oh, and did we mention we share the hottest office space in town with The Next Web?

Online Marketer / Growth Hacker

The role:

You’ll be working with your three marketing colleagues and lead the ‘hacking’ into product sales growth towards a perfect product-market fit and beyond. Next to that you’ll start on creating a plan to improve the quality and quantity of traffic to Twitter Counter.

You’ll be working on multiple activities simultaneously, so you’ll need to be a good multi-tasker and very execution-oriented. For ‘hacking’ into growth you’ll be using tools like: Google Analytics, MailChimp, Mixpanel or KISSmetrics and Vero. We would really prefer it if you already have an advanced working experience with one or more of these of tools.

As for growing traffic quality and quantity, you’ll be doing that with a variety of channels and resources: SEO, SEA, social media advertising, display advertising & partnerships, email marketing, remarketing and affiliate marketing.
As obviously not all these things can happen simultaneously, being able to quantify expected effects, prioritizing activities, planning and communicating your plans are highly important.

How would a typical morning look like:

Say good morning, make some great coffee and settle down to check the figures for the previous day – visitors, revenue and other metrics. One of the A/B tests you’re running just turned to have significant results. As it turns out, the variant performed better than you would have anticipated and you decide to proclaim a winner and tell the product leader about this. You then come up with a few new tests that the marketing analyst will set up for you. By using our internal project management tool you’ll provide the developers with the necessary information to put the changes live. After that you’ll discuss several ongoing display campaigns with your colleague. Before lunch you’ll clear your inbox – replying to mails about partnerships and affiliate proposals with other websites and tool providers, just in time for the nice lunch prepared by our lunch lady Mientje!

So… who are you, the perfect candidate?

  • You have 3-5 years experience within online marketing and are passionate about hacking growth.
  • You have experience with analytics and marketing tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, KISSmetrics and Vero.
  • You have experience developing different strategies per comms channel (SEM, Display, Social Media, Email, etc.).
  • You have hands on experience with managing Google AdWords campaigns (both display and search).
  • You’re highly analytic and data driven. You like to work with numbers and always aim for getting more visitors and higher conversion rates.
  • You have a high sensitivity to UX and can tell when a flow or a layout could be improved – and how.
  • You are CREATIVE (!) in thinking out ways to improve KPIs and the product!
  • You’re constantly looking for ways to increase growth and constantly improve those KPIs. You can effectively communicate the reasoning for suggested alterations and experiments.
